Meet our Brewer

Ansel fell in love with beer while he was living in rural Alaska, where his work in breweries began as an overnight keg washer. Throughout his career he’s had the pleasure to brew for some very successful breweries including 49th State, Oskar Blues, Cigar City & Other Half. Ansel is excited to find himself in Minneapolis and to be a part of the StormKing team. His favorite style of beer is a well done, Munich-style Helles. When Ansel is not brewing, he enjoys skiing, kayaking, 80’s era reggae and New York Jets football. He claims that the best part of being back in Minnesota is the comfort food and is always willing to trade a crowler for a high quality hotdish!
